Backyard Wilderness operates Yakamoz Sailing, a crew-based sailing program in the San Francisco Bay Area. Participants who join a sailing event may receive SMS text messages from Backyard Wilderness related to trip coordination, scheduling, safety, and crew activities.

By participating in Yakamoz Sailing events and submitting photos or media through our crew coordination system, you grant Backyard Wilderness permission to use that content for documentation, trip records, and promotional purposes. If you do not wish your photos or likeness to be used publicly, notify us in writing at info@backyardwilderness.org and we will honor that request.
Participation in Yakamoz Sailing events is free of charge. Crew members are never asked to pay for sailing. On occasions where a fee is collected — such as for special events — a USCG licensed captain will always be aboard and the activity will be conducted in full compliance with applicable maritime regulations.

Backyard Wilderness reserves the right to remove any participant from the crew list at any time.
Sailing involves inherent risks. By participating in Yakamoz Sailing events you acknowledge these risks and agree that Backyard Wilderness and its operators are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except where required by law.
